I have been asked to send ADIT photographs not computer photographs?
Anybody knows what ADIT means???

I just read that ADIT photographs used to be the norm till 2004,is it changing again from passport style photos to ADIT?The RFE I received for my AP clearly asking for ADIT photographs.Now where do I get these ADIT photographs???Any ideas.URGENT Please.

I find it somewhat suspicious that someone who has joined IV this month and posted only on this issue, without any input from the core team who I know work closely with those on the hill, is trying to rally our community efforts.

I know a Controller making 70K and got his GC via L1-A in 6 months. I make 50% more than him and got my PERM approved in EB2 2 weeks ago. Life isn't fair, take it easy.

I am confused and think about this daily. I am here in US for the past 8+ years and I am 33 now. All my friends who have stayed back in India are in very good managerial position and earning well. Money is not the issue now, but the career.
I thought about going back to India and when I started the job search, I ended up seeing myself aged out. Being stuck with my GC, I am now continuing as a Sr Software er for the past 8 years. I did not move up an inch all these years and I did not think it is going to affect my career till now. Now if I look back, I sometime think that I have made wrong choices unknowingly.
In India:
1. I am not fit for Sr Software Er position as guys from college with 2+ years of experience fills that position.
2. I dont want tech lead / team lead as I hear from my friends there it is going back 5years for me for my age.
3. I am not getting project manager position as I do not have any managerial experience.
If I get a good position in India, I am ready to go back. At the same time, I have two kids who are born here in US and I own a house (technically I am proud owner of mortgage debt not house) here in US. I have to close all my debts before I decide to go back.
I AM NOT IN CLEAR STATE OF MIND. MAY BE GETTING GC WILL HELP ME OUT.

It is really tricky to come up with a deadline for EB employment. US is set of laws and the law is same for every one it applies. for example:If you not from a retrogressed country you will get your GC even if you start now (before enactment of this bill).
Please know the difference between bill and law. If ever this particular bill becomes law the deadline for any cases filed under previous law will not be rejected, this is as clear as mud, to make the law same for all who applied/pending /approved on the day of enactment!!.:eek:

In months of June, Jul and Aug , many EADs & APs are up for renewal due to July07 fiasco. So by moving dates forward, USCIS can cash in lot of reveue as it has to issue only 1 yr EAD in that case. If the dates are not current, they will have to issue 2 yr EAD and although they dont mean to approve many cases, I tend to think they will keep moving dates forward.

I guess we are here long on waiting for our green cards in the mean time I am suggesting we do a letter campaign to write in thousands to the USCIS director and lodge our protest about the problem the immigrant community is facing because of delays and irregularities in adjudication of EADs and APs. First and foremost things is a document which USCIS takes 6 months to Adjudicate is valid for 1 year which makes no sense.
Secondly USCIS should make efforts to make adjudicate it in not more than 2 months since we have to make travel plans etc. We should not be bounded by these documents. If for some reason it takes more than 2 months than 1 should able to get it via infopass, and a family member's death should not be the only reason to get the AP we are human beings and we have other social bondings too like marriages etc. I urge the core team to take steps to come forward a begin a campaign.... I guess this is the foremost need of the moment for 1000s of us..

Since your PD is June 2003, you could have applied in June 2007 because in June Visa bulletin(released in May ) it moved till April 2004.
This is too good to be true.. How could you apply in June if you are Eb3 with PD Sept 2003? The PD was'nt current in June. Also, how did your 140 get approved in less than a month? Premium Processing was'nt there in July...
I have a PD of Sep 2003. I filed my labor in Nebraska in Sep 2003 and state labor got cleared in a week and federal took 2 weeks. I had my Labour on Oct 2nd. I filed for my 140 and recd approval in 3 months. I had to wait for my 485 filing as I wanted to file it with my spouse who was out of country at that time. Rest of the details are in my signature.
BTW, those who are stuck in BEC's my sympathies are with you, its just pure bad luck your cases got stuck in there. PERM or no PERM this whole GC thing is just matter of timing.

The original poster please correct the mistake here, gcpadmavyuh is right, you could not have applied for 485 in June if you had PD of sep 2003. You could have applied for your 485 as early as March 2005 when the PD dates retrogressed.

Few observations based on thread postings
1) Last year around this same time not many RFE/LUD were seen.
2) Most of these cases with RFE/LUD are either EB2 around 2005-2006 or EB3 2003-2004
3) My Lawyer based out of IL confirming RFEs are in high volume and majority of these are Employment verification with Birth verification and Health letter verification as close second.
Now given the gov attitude and the current scenario it does not seem that they would be interested in pre-adjudication. There is something else that is going on. On the same note I am also seeing that people with dates which could possibly be current anytime this year are not seeing any LUD/RFE. If pre-adjudicating is the objective than these cases should have received the RFEs first.
Just my observation. Any input is appreciated.
To keep the HOPE high;) One more point to consider , remember a month back there was a information going around on the # of Cards ordered by USCIS? Man, all these crazy things going around with
a) LUDs
b) Name Check 180 days rule
c) # of Cards ordered etc etc., etc., is making ppl. more anxious.....

Considering all these 750,000 I-485 filings in next 1 month sounds a reasonable estimate.
