Once they accept I-485 in the system then they give us a Receipt#, with that Receipt we can file for EAD / AP (as long as your PD becomes available) then they will process your I-485, Just thinking.. what do you say guys ... Please lete me know.. Receipt Date Vs Visa Number ...

You can file EAD/AP together with 485. That's how I did (actually I140 PP was in the same package too). Sent on 6/21 to I140PP address. Had all the receipts beginning of July.

I missed the july fiasco by 15 days. Atleast if we get the administrative fix to apply atleast 485. That would help us a lot, after labor if we are allowed to apply for 485 within a specific timeframe it would be nice.

Well said. On top of all this, there is a huge social pressure on NRIs from Indian parents/relatives to buy a property in India. It goes like this, if Hari, Babu and Kanwal all have it, why don't you buy something in Delhi as well. Now builders have started talking in terms of crores. You call them and ask the price, they would say "point six", means zero point six crores (for 1200 sq ft 2 BHK). There is no way on this earth someone should pay that much for 1200 sq ft in Noida/Delhi/Anywhere in India.
My advise, let people, relatives say what they want to say. This market is bound to come down. Just wait and see. Thank you.

No wonder, most of the RE developer in recent times have a website, some of the website are a joke with absolutely no details and the rosy pictures of moon, lakes, birds, parks etc :-))
80% of his customers are NRI's, 10% are local goonda's/politician and rest 10% are common people...I was surprised to hear that some NRI's have bought/booked plots just by looking at the website and remitting money from USA...what happened to old school days of personally visiting, checking paperwork,Vaastu, getting opinions of relatives/friends before buying anything...what is the hurry here is beyond me???
I feel, this whole RE market in INDIA is a scam where RE developers are playing a game and targetting NRI's who are easy a prey...

Discussion forums are good because ideas emerge here - ideas are needed for execution and discussing pressing issues must lead us towards a path to execution.
The question is - can all those who do that talk actually walk the talk?

Missouri story - I was sent home by DMV office, reason, I was not carrying my latest Pay stubs. I hate these Midwestern states...they were sleeping before 9/11 and suddenly woke up and squeezed their asses. Can you imagine, ignorant DMV in Missouri gave me DL on B1/B2 visa in 2000? I showed them Passport as proof#1 and US visa as proof#2 and ignorant officer said...you are good to go! Now 7 years later, it is written in bold over there....
ONLY US CITIZENS walk away with DMV, rest everyone go through USCIS.

It is a letter by your I-485 attorney to USCIS mentioning your pending I-485 application (receipt numbers, filed where, including everyone part of the application), about your company securing I-140 approval under EB2 category for you and requesting to interfile this I-140 with pending I-485 and approval based on case is being current now (mentioning priority date). Copy of the I-140 approval notice (EB2) should be attached.
Some attorneys do attach I-485 receipt copies too. Also, your attorney may ask you to sign on the G-28 form that he/she is representing your case.

If i have to interpret that - once EB2I and EB2C start having the same priority dates thats when spillover has started happening, then past years records show the following
In 2009 - this was first evident in the Jul 09 Bulletin
In 2008 - this was first evident in the Apr 08 Bulletin
In 2007 - This was evident in the fiasco bulletin of Jul 07
I dont think quarterly spillovers ever happen, Jan to Apr 2010 is going to see slow progress in dates as per their projections. May 2010 bulletin may show some changes.
Unless ofcourse Magic happens :D

These people were not eligible for EB2 when they filed their own labor.. so they should NOT BE ALLOWED TO PORT THEIR OLD PDs.

I had a Masters at the time EB3 was filed in 2002....from a top US school. The employer was okay with any category. The lawyer messed up...said that all categories were current and he knows best.

First of all why do U wanna ask that? Its an employment based visa that ur GC is based on. So, ur employer shud ask that. Why are u asking IVans to do something which is not in their control??? I keep getting red and dont mind if I'm banned. But excuse me...u r misleading IVans. My point is this. We can protest, rally based on the delay. Thats pretty much we can do. Thanks for your reply. Infact I talked to the manager(Supervisor) at two DMV locations in Houston TX. First one only told me about this rule. At second place, since I insisted they showed me the rule in writing. I also expressed my frustration asking what kind of rule is this? They just washed hands saying they didn't make the rule and put the blame on texas legislature and parliament! Anyways will try your written rejection letter option.
