According to the State Department, from October 1, 2006 through May 30, 2007, the USCIS requested and was authorized the total EB visa numbers of 66,426. Between June 1 and the first few days of July (?), the USCIS requested and was authorized over 60,000 EB visa numbers, in approximately one month. Since it has been made clear by the USCIS that during the last weekend of June (2 days) the USCIS approved 25,000 EB 485 applications, apparently over 40,000 visa numbers were requested and authorized before the weekend. Obviously the 60,000 plus cases must thus have been approved (?) in one month

Same with me, have been getting red dots. But red dots should not deter us.

SA 2339. Mr. CORNYN (for himself and Mr. Enzi, Mr. Gregg, Mr. Smith, Mr. Sununu, Mr. Coleman, and Mr. Voinovich) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 2327 proposed by Mr. Kennedy to the bill H.R. 2669.
The amendment was ruled out of order by the Chair of the Committee, after a Motion by Sen. Durbin (D-IL) and a vote more-or-less on party lines. This is hopefully just a procedural slowdown. HLG is aware that alternative procedural options are still being considered.
The amendment also called for a one-time increase in H1 visas, which seemed to be the reason for the amendment’s defeat.
What you can do.
If anyone lives in these Senators' jurisdictions, please call their offices and thank them for sponsoring the amendment, and encourage them to keep pushing for this amendment.
If you live in the jurisdiction of those who voted against the amendment, please call them and encourage them of the urgent need for foreign trained nurses and PTs. Telephone is the best way to make your voice heard. Here is the link to the Senators' phone numbers and contact info.

What a nobel idea. IV has thousands of members and we all are with you. What we don't seems to have is LEADER. Yes, we are lacking leaders like you, If you start I am sure all IV members will follow you. Just drop us a line when you are ready to start. We all are counting on you.

Even though future VISA bulletins show PD way earlier than your PD, your I-485 may get approved since you are in the system.
So, who ever gets to apply I-485 are in much better shape than people with PDs in 2002 or 2003 but do not file I-485 now.
REMEMBER, USCIS USUALLY DO NOT FOLLOW ORDER AND YOU HAVE TO BE VERY LUCKY OTHER THAN TURNING ALL THE RIGHT PAPER WORK.
This is contrary to every description of the process that I have read so far... I don't believe your I-485 will get approved just because it is in the system, the PD has to be current at the time of processing...

Just thought let me update my case here.
I filed my 485 on July 2nd @ NSC and my checks got cleared yesterday (8/11/07). So as per murthy's coment I tried looking @ back of the checks to get my LIN #'s and I was able to trace it in the USCIS web site and it shows "Application received and the Receipt notice mailed".
So I feel like they are aggressively working on the applications which are filed on July 2nd and hopefully everyone will get their Receipt notice by end of this week.
Hope this will help many people and give a good hopes.

Guys please enroll for recurring contributions. Its for our own good. Please dont sit under the misconception that since we applied for 485 and we get EAD we might be ok. you are not safe until you have the green card in your hand. durbin, grasley, ron hira are out there to get you, I wont be surprised if they come after EAD once they are done with H1. Please contribute to IV so that we can work on the next leg on the process, be it SKIL or visa number recapture or whatever comes but to do that IV needs money, please contribute so that we can build on the momentum. Junior members, news members you are the new blood please come forward and contribute. To existing members please think about increasing the recurring contribution amount.

something really strange is going on:
I485 EB2 filed at NSC Dec 3,2008, and on Feb,18 received RFE(!) requesting employment verification, divorce certificate, W2 and some other stuff that has been posted to them just 2 months ago.:confused:

There is a different thread also going on, but sharing it here for anyone who have not noticed it yet. RG updated his website with below information.
Good news concerning AOS denials based on I-140 revocations

Looks like the header of that thread is misleading...though its a good news for those suffering because CIS error, it can mislead some IV visitors that issue is over. Unfortunately this is not the case, though it is some what relief to know that MTR are successful. However in first place, an applicant should not have to go through this HORROR. I wish CIS comes out and accept this error and make sure that this is not repeated again in future.

I filed my EB2 with the same employer. Did not get any RFE for PERM Labor. I have M.S degree from US. I am in the same job role from the beginning (Web Developer).
